Play: games, points, badges and your wins
Play is a game room inside each company you work for. It rewards being a good crew member (on time, reliable, papers in order, helping out), never more hours. It runs by itself on every plan, and nothing in it changes your pay or who gets shifts.
Step 1: Open Play
In the company, on Home, or Menu → Play.
- The Play card: your level, your points, how many shifts in a row you were on time, and what waits for you (Bingo, the quiz, your move).
Step 2: Today: Bingo, Spot It, the quiz and quests
- Shift Bingo: a new card of 16 squares every Monday. Your shifts and things you do in the app fill it by themselves, never anything that means working more. Your first line of the week is 100 points.
- Spot It: one picture a day. Find 5 things in 60 seconds; the faster, the more points.
- Daily quiz: one question a day, the same for everyone at the company, with the answer explained. Answer every day to keep a quiz streak.
- Quests: 3 of your own each week, like on time for every shift, plus a crew quest and a crew goal for each job site.
The quiz, Spot It and games open when you are not clocked in, or on a break. Bingo, quests and your streak keep filling by themselves.
Step 3: Play with your crew
- Start a game: Tic-tac-toe or a Spot It race with a coworker, in your one-to-one chat. You can also tap Play in the chat itself.
- Your league: about 10 people with a similar number of shifts. The top 3 move up each week, nobody moves down, and everyone starts again in Rookie on the 1st.
- Crew feed: good news only, posted by the app. Tap Cheer.
Tic-tac-toe: whoever asks is X, and each move tells the other “Your move”. A game nobody moves for 48 hours ends with no winner, and Rematch swaps X and O. A Spot It race: you each play today’s picture once, and more found, then less time, wins. Share my time, when you finish Spot It, starts one too.
Step 4: Your wins
Tap the first row of Play: it shows your level and on-time streak (My wins before you have a level). Or tap the points at the top.
- Your level: Bronze, Silver, Gold or Diamond, from your points and how often you are on time. Levels are checked on the 1st.
- Badges: a collection for being reliable, helping out, exploring job sites and more, some secret. Pin 3 for your crew to see next to your name.
- Kudos from the app, when you do something good, like covering a shift that needed someone fast: 25 points each. Share with the crew posts one to the crew feed, and you can take it down.
A level is a look, not a perk: the ring on your photo in Play. Kudos come from the app, from what really happened, never from a manager.
Good to know
- Points: 10 for each on-time shift (the first 5 shifts of a week), 50 for a perfect week, 25 for each kudos, 100 for your first Bingo line of the week, and more for quests, badges, the quiz, Spot It, Tic-tac-toe wins and records. Hours, overtime and extra days never earn anything.
- Your streak is your on-time shifts in a row. After a broken streak of 5 or more, 3 on time in a row brings half of it back, once.
- Your month (on the phone, Monthly recap): on the 1st, last month’s story, to keep or share. What you earned shows only to you, and the picture you share never shows pay or steps.
- Steps (the phone app only, asked once): after you clock out, the phone counts that shift’s steps for the step boards, the records and the Crew Journey, a route the crew walks together. Steps never earn points, and your managers never see them.
- Also in Play: the Site Legend (most on-time shifts at a job site in 90 days), the Site passport (a stamp for your first shift at each job site), the Crew Showdown (your job site against another, on time, each week) and the Monthly Championship (the last full week of the month, for the Champion and Legend leagues).
- Boards show the top 7 and your own place, so nobody is shown at the bottom, and nobody ever sees anyone’s late or missed shifts.
- Play is separate at each company you work for. There is no money and there are no prizes. Notices come in the app and on the phone, never by email, and nothing is pushed between 10 PM and 8 AM.
