Lively touches: what your shift, Home, Pay and papers show
The app shows small, true things from what it already knows about your shifts. None is sent as a notice, each shows only when the facts are there, and there is nothing to switch on.
Step 1: On your shift
Open today’s shift once you are clocked in.
- A ring with the time left, and who is on with you (first name and last initial).
- Handover: who takes over after you, the next person on the same job site in the same role. Leave a note shows for people who may write shift notes.
The shift card has the sky at the job site: stars and a moon at night, rain or snow for a few seconds, then still. After you clock out, Shift done: worked, in, out and breaks, ON TIME only when you signed in at or before the start, with your Play points, streak and Bingo square.

Step 2: A shift that fits you
On Home, under your next shift.
- A shift that fits you: one open shift in the next 7 days that every rule allows, on a day you marked yourself available, at hours that fit, with no other shift that day.
- Take it books it as Book does (it may wait for a manager). Not this time never shows that one again, and nothing else that day.
Home shows at most two of these cards, in this order: your break is due, a new site for you, a shift that fits you, an early start tomorrow (from 6 PM, for a shift starting 4 to 8 AM), heat, cold or storms at the site today or tomorrow, then Play’s pay day, anniversary and thank-you cards. The Play card always stays.

Step 3: Your pay
Open Pay.
- The amount rolls up once when Pay opens, with a bar for each day of the pay period.
On your first pay day at a company: Your first pay from the company.

Step 4: Your papers
On your own side, open Menu → My papers.
- A licence or certificate with an end date has a ring with the days left: green over 60 days, amber 15 to 60, red under 15.

Good to know
- In the phone app, near shift time and inside the job site’s clock-in area, Clock in reads You’re here · Clock in, with one short buzz. Only for people who clock themselves in, and only when location is already allowed: it never asks. After clocking in, You’re on, with the time.
- “4 hours in. Your meal break is due.”, with your company’s own break rule and Start (or Ask, when someone else starts breaks), only where your company has a break rule.
- New site for you, on your first shift at a job site: the site’s notes, and a coworker on the shift who knows it.
- Schedule: the weather on each shift of the next 7 days, BOOKED on a shift you picked up or swapped today, and a card counting down to your approved time off.
- All done for this shift when you tick the last to-do. In a one-to-one chat, Seen under your last message once they have read it. An empty list says so with a small drawing.
- Phones and computers set to reduce motion get the same touches, standing still. On every plan.
